How do I determine my salary?

Your salary level is determined by various factors, including job complexity, scope of responsibility, and industry. When setting your salary expectations, it is also a good idea to take into account your management skills, the level of complexity in decision-making, the workload, and the size and sector of your organisation. Many employers have their own pay systems, and in some cases salaries are determined by collective agreements.

Minimum salary recommendations

We regularly publish salary recommendations that provide guidance on fair pay. The recommendations give a good indication of the monthly earnings at which to start a pay review. You can therefore use the minimum wage recommendations to help justify your salary request when applying for a job and to support your request for a pay rise in salary negotiations.
